The 'Doug
Powell' Cup. Doug was a massive contributor to the clubs history
with all his work and support of the club. This new trophy has been
donated in memory of his recent death. From 1966-2006 it was the 'Norman Penfound'
Cup. Norman Penfound was Mrs Pearce's father and Jack Pearce's
father in law.
It is presented annually to the 1st team player of the year. (The elite of
the club, supposedly?) |

The 'Ted Bolitho'
Memorial Cup. Ted Bolitho was a prominent club person at Broadclose in
the years around the middle of the last century. After his death his
daughter Sheila Buse presented this cup to be engraved with the name of the
best club person of the year. One of the hardest decisions to make each year
who wins this as so many people put in so much work to help the club. |
