|
The youth teams are the future of the club and we currently have 8 youth teams,
and over 150 children playing over all age groups from under 6's up to under
15's. We have a number of
volunteers who spend their valuable time making all this happen which
includes over 14 FA qualified coaches. This
has also helped the club receive the 'Charter Standard Award' and 'Community
Club Status' from TheFA, one of only a handful of clubs in the county. The
club have also won the Access Sport ' Sports Club Of The Year' award.
The club currently have the 3rd largest youth set up in the country. Got any
youth news, let me know my emailing the site at

Cornwall Under 18's Rathbone
Trophy
The Rathbone Cup was brought
back to Broadclose after the under 18's team destroyed a strong looking
Millbrook team. After going one nil down Bude started to relax and
play some decent football, Billy Hopcroft equalising and paying
tribute to the injured Matt Warburton with a specially made t-shirt, Stevie Box then
took the lead for Bude and celebrated with a dodgy somersault.
Hopcroft increased the lead early in the second half and as Millbrook
were reduced to 10 men, Glen Bickle headed in at the back post from
the resulting free kick, Hopcroft grabbed his hat trick from the
penalty spot on the second time of asking to finish off a superb Bude
performance. Bude won
5 -1 to become Cornwalls Under 18's champions. |

Emotional Under 16's lose on penalties in cup final.
The Under 16's travelled to St.Blazey for the Luke Cup Cornwall final
and narrowly lost in a penalty shoot out. The team who had a
good following from Bude matched their Helston counterparts and were
2-1 up before Helston equalised towards the end of the game taking it
in to extra time. No goals after the extra period meant penalties and
in the end they lost out with players looking very emotional. It was
difficult with most of the boys having to play games the previous day
and some of them with only 10 men in their team. Well done to
the boys anyway for even reaching the final and the future of the club
looks good with such a good bunch of you lads coming through. |
|
|
25/2/07. The Under
16's are through to the Cornwall cup final after beating Torpoint
comfortably 6 goals to one. Goal scorers were Billy Hopcroft 2, Scott
Wilson 2, Wes Pugh with one and Jordan White with one. They know met
Helston in the final after they beat Polkerris in the other semi 2-1. |
