After losing 3-2 earlier in the season Bude were up for revenge and started well, Steve Thompson took players on outside the box and from 20 yards struck a sweet drive on to the cross bar and in. After 20 minutes Thompson grabbed his second of the game and his hat-trick was complete minutes later when the ball fell to him at the far right hand side and a half volley flew past the keeper.  Bude dominated the rest of the half against a now deflated Torrington side, but it wasn't until the second half when Bude made in four, Jordan White played in to striker John Clayton who flicked in to the path of partner Thompson who struck for his fourth.  A foul in the box gave Bude a penalty and up stepped Chris Hudson to score and cap off a fine game from the right back.  Torrington nearly pulled one back, a light weighted pass back to the keeper from Rich Suttie, saw the Torrington striker round the keeper, shoot, but Suttie recovered superbly to clear off the line and spare any blushes. In the 85th minute Clayton hit the post, although hesitant , he got to the rebound, squared across the box to White who comfortably tucked his shot away and complete an emphatic victory.
