Bude travelled to third place Barnstaple expecting a hard game but produced one of their best performances this season.

Bude took the lead ten minutes before half time through Hopcroft after good one touch passing between the midfield and strikers. However Barnstaple replied straight away with a header which was glanced into the bottom corner but minutes before half time Hopcroft scored his second after a superb free kick from the edge of the box.

In the second half Bude hit top form and could of scored a hat full and it was Kerslake who scored the next two for Bude with neat finishes after superb chasing from Hopcroft. The fifth was scrambled in by Middleton after the keeper misjudged the bounce. Finally with seconds left they made it 5-2 but it was too late and a very good defensive display from defenders Hamblin, Hudson, Gerry and Sandercock.
