May 200 Club winner.
The May '200 Club' draw was made on Saturday night and this
months winner of £300 Travis Perkins vouchers were Mrs Norma
Rickard. The accumulator again wasn't won so rolls over to the June
draw. |

Get Your Names Down For End Of Season Presentation Evening.
The end of season do will be held on Saturday 1st June at Bude
Golf Club, 7 for 7.30 sit down.
If you haven't already
get your names down with your managers, it's £20 per head which must
be paid before the night. It's a 2 course meal and will include the
presentation followed by a disco. |

1st Team Not Up To Scratch In Cup Final.
The 1st team continued Budes final bad form as they too went
down in a final of a cup this season. Against Boca Seniors in the
Westward Ho! Cup final Bude lost 3 nil. Bude had played two other
games in the week which Boca hadn't and they looked way fresher than
Bude who didn't really turned up. They were 2 nil down at half time
but Bude also had two good chances cleared off the line. Boca
wrapped the game up with minutes remaining to lift the trophy for
the 6th time in the last 7 seasons. |

3rd Team Go Out On Cruel Penalty's In Cup Semi.
The 3rd team went out of their second cup in a week as they lost
in a penalty shoot out against Morwenstow. Just days previously they
lost out in the final of the Pickard Cup losing 3 goals to two. This
semi final of the Hutchings Cup went even closer as they drew 3 all
at full time, the game went straight to penalty's and it was
Morwenstow who held their nerve to win 8-7. |

Saturday Success With 70's & 80's Night at Penstowe.
On Saturday night the club hosted a 70s & 80's night with
Cornish band 'The Bubble' playing along with a local DJ. A lot of
fancy dressers got the atmosphere going. Thanks to everyone who made
it up there and help turned it in to a great evening and thanks to
all organisers!!! |

1st Team Out In One Semi Final But Through To The Final In
Another.
The 1st team went out to Premier league rivals Bere Alston in
the league Supplementary Cup semi final losing two goals to one on
the Saturday with Wes Pugh scoring Bude's only goal from the penalty
spot.
On the Sunday Bude
were due to play Torridgeside in the Westward Ho! Cup semi final but
Torridgeside couldn't manage to field a side so Bude progress to the
final where they will meet Boca Seniors at Barnstaple FCs' ground. |

Youth Team Coaches Win Awards.
Two young coaches Tommy Rowland and Leigh Watson were rewarded
this week by winning awards at the CATS ceremony. Both Tommy and
Leigh coach youth teams and won these awards due to the amount of
work they do for the youth teams and the enthusiasm they show, well
done guys!!! |

Ladies Come Runners Up In County Cup Final.
The ladies team played Charlestown in the final of the County
Cup at Launceston FC and went down in an exciting game 2 goals to
nil. Bude looked the better side for the majority of the game but
could quite find that killer instinct in front of goal, Charlestown
scored just after half time and then put it beyond Budes reach in
the final minutes. Both teams celebrated after though. A great
achievement getting to the final, well done girls!!! |

1st Team Through To Semi Final Of Westward Ho! Cup.
The 1st team progress to the semi final of the Westward Ho! Cup
after a hard fought victory away to local rivals Bradworthy beating
them 4-2. Budes goals came from young striker Adam Smith who picked
up a hat-trick, and Tommy Statton who chipped in Budes fourth. Craig
Thompson also won but missed a penalty towards the end for Bude,
Gary Clark scored from two set pieces for Bradworthy, but a decent
win with a team which featured a mixture of first, second and third
team players. Another trophy back to Broadclose maybe???

Good Cup Week For The Tootball Club.
The ladies team made it through to the final of the County Cup
winning 2-1 against a strong Falmouth side in the semis, and the 3rd
team followed this up with a 2-1 win in the semi final of the
Pickard Cup and now meet local rivals Stratton in the final at the
end of April. Well done all, let's bring these trophy's back to
Broadclose!

Get Your Tickets Now For 70's & 80's Night @ Penstowe on 27th April.
Tickets
are on sale now for a special night being held at Penstowe in
Kilkhampton on Saturday 27th April from 8pm til 1am.
Cornish band 'The
Bubble' will be playing their 70's & 80's classic hits you all know
from that era. The evening will also see local DJ Jellybean
finishing off the night with more vinyl classics.
Get your tickets now,
they are just £10 per person and can be purchased from Hodgson
Insurance Services in Belle Vue Lane,Bude or from Luke at Bude Post
Office. If you aren't local you can also reserve your tickets by
calling Richard Pinkus (evenings please) on 07885 901017.
You may be able to purchase the tickets on the night but they will
be £12,50 on the door.
Proceeds will be
going towards the continued running of Bude Town Football Club, we
will also be organising a raffle with all money from the draw being
donated to Cancer Research.
Fancy dress is
optional but we hope many of you will dress up for the occasion,
it's going to be a great night, hope you can all make it, tell your
friends, tell your friends friends and let's make this a great night
to remember!!!!!!

draw has been won by footie club stalwart Ian Watson who wins £300 Wroes vouchers or
£200 cash. The £140 accumulator would have gone to Matt Pepperell but
he decided last minute he couldn't afford to come out, so it rolls over to the
April draw where
£150 will be available along with £300 Woolacotts vouchers.
Also well done to
Ian's son Leigh who won the darts tournament beating Robin Worden in
the final, thanks to everyone who turned up and made it a great
night!!

Seconds Narrowly Lose Out In Penalty Shoot Out Area Final.
The second team played in the area final of the Cornwall Junior
Cup against St.Austell at Wadebridge and after draw at full time and
extra time, they lost out in the penalty shoot out.
St.Austell were the
better team in the first half and went one nil up, although Bude had
a perfectly good free kick scored but ruled out for offside and
interfering but video evidence on Facebook suggests otherwise. Bude
battled backhard int he second half and persistence paid off when
Steve Smeeth equalised in the final minute. Going in to the extra
time Bude took the lead with Andrew Heywood scoring from close
range, St.Austell though kept in it by levelling soon after. On to
penalty's which is never nice and Budes weren't good enough on the
night compared to St.Austell who tucked there's away well. Congrats
to St.Austell who go through to the grand final at the Easter
weekend and well played the 2nds in getting this far, you done the
club proud!!!! |

Ladies Through To Cornwall County Cup Semi Final.
The
ladies team beat high flying Truro 3 - 2 away in the quarter final
of the Cornwall County Cup. Bude showed true spirit after going 2
nil down to pull it back to 2 all with goals from Lily Godwood and
Jenkins scored the winner in the final 5 minutes to win the game and
progress in to the semis!!!

February 200 Club draw.
The February '200 Club'
draw has been won by Chris Base who wins £300 Woolacotts vouchers or
£200 cash. The £130 accumulator would have gone to Gary Dinshaw but
he turned up 5 minutes after the draw was made so it rolls over to the February draw where
£140 will be available along with £300 Wroes vouchers.

1sts Knocked Out In Closely Fought Charity Cup Game.
The 1st team narrowly went down in the Cornwall Charity Cup,
playing against the higher league opposition of Wadebridge Bude
matched them most of the way taking the game in to extra time after
the game was 1 all at 90 minutes. Bude started to tire in extra time
and let in 2 quick goals, Bude pulled one back from the penalty spot
but couldn't find the equaliser in the final minutes. |

2nd Team Through To Junior Cup Area Final.
The
2nd team convincingly beat Grampound Road in the area semi-final of
the Junior Cup with a 4 to 1 score line.
They will now meet St.Austell in the area final at the end of Feb
after they won the other semi 2 nil.
The other area final is between Lizard Argyle and Illogan Reserves.
Also good to receive
an email from the guest house the boys stayed at afterwards for a
night out in Truro to say they were a credit to the club with the
way they behaved so good stuff all round guys!!!! |

Not A Good Cup Weekend For The 1st Team.
The 1st team had a bad weekend at the office as they went out of the
Cornwall Senior Cup and Torridge Cup. On Saturday they lost against
a Newquay side 2 leagues above them, going in nil nil at half time
then finished losing 5 nil. On Sunday they played and lost against
Exeter & Devon Premier league leaders Hatherleigh 3 goals to 2
losing with the final kick of the game. |

Hodgson Wins The 200 Club Draw.
The January '200 Club'
draw has been won by Mark Hodgson who has only been in the draw for
12 months and walks away with £300 Sharrons travel
vouchers.
The £120 accumulator
would have gone to Steve Box Snr but he wasn't at the draw so it
rolls over to the February draw where £130 will be available.

Newcomer Wins Xmas '200 Club' draw .
The December '200 Club' draw has been won by newcomer Mr Steve Drew,
only been in the draw for a couple of months and receives £300 Co-Op
vouchers. The £110 accumulator would have gone to Den Buse but
he wasn't at the draw so it rolls over to £120 at the New Year
January draw.

Movember 2012 winner.
Various members of the footie club participated in this years Movember, helping make people aware of testicular and prostrate
cancer, they had to endure the embarrassment of growing a moustache
in the style they wanted throughout the month of November without
shaving it.
We held a competition
for the best Mo!!
This years winner
went to the one and only Mr Ian Adams who was voted the nations
favourite Mo via Facebook,
Ian is shown here
with his illustrious trophy which he was very proud to win. Ian said
"although I have a trophy, everyone who participated this year are
winners, well done!!"

Club Draw & Speed Pool Competition.
The November '200 Club'
draw was won by Mrs Jenny Bowden who receives £300 Brooks Garden
vouchers. The £100 accumulator would have gone to Les Cornish but
he wasn't at the draw so it rolls over to £110 at the December
Christmas draw.

Great Night for 200 Club Draw & FIFA 12 Night.
At the October '200 Club' evening Herbie Goodgroves held a PS3 FIFA
12 Tournament. Harry Hopcroft was the Messi of the night beating
Herbie in the Cup final. Well done Harry!!

draw was won by local Des Gregory who receives £300 Woolacotts
vouchers. The £90 accumulator would have been won by Steven Drew but
he wasn't at the draw so it rolls over to £100 at the November draw.

Over £300 raised at Horse Race Night and Sept 200 Club Draw.
The September 200 Club draw was held at The Lucky Kiss with a horse
race night organised. Thank you to everyone who turned up to support
the evening, a great night was had by all with £342 raised for the
club and quite a few winners went away happy!!!
There was no accumulator
draw but for the main '200 Club' £300 Woolacotts vouchers went to
Sarah Streeter of Bude. The October draw will also be for Woolacotts
vouchers and the return of the accumulator draw. |

The Main August '200
Club' draw was made on Saturday and £3,000 cash or £4,000 towards a
car was won Mr Alan Pedrick of Bude. The £90 accumulator draw would
have gone to the luckiest man in Bude Glen Bickle but he wasn't won so rolls over to the
October draw.
Next months main draw
will be held at the Lucky Kiss with a race night being held. £300
Woolacotts vouchers will be up for grabs, but no accumulator draw.
It's changed to encourage more members to join this great club,

Seasons fixtures are released.
The 2012/13 fixtures have been released and are now on the site for
you to view.
The first team start their campaign on Saturday 18th with a tricky
fixture away to Probus. The 2nds start at home the same date against
Combe Martin. The 3rd teams fixtures aren't quite ready yet but the
ladies start at home against Dobwalls on Sunday 26th August in what
is looking to be a promising season for all teams. Here we go !!!!!! |

The July '200 Club' draw was made on Saturday and £300 Congdons
vouchers was won by Mr Kinsman of Bude. The £80 accumulator draw
would have gone to Henry Stuttaford but he wasn't won so rolls over
to the big August draw with £4,000 towards a car available or £3,000
cash!!. |

Herbie Goodgroves Named 2nd Team Manager.
Herbie Goodgroves has been named as the reserve team manager for the
coming season after Luke Francis stepped down from the post. Herbie
has already been busy trying to bring in fresh faces as he looks for
a strong assault on the North Devon Senior league. Herb has been a
regular as a 1st team player over the last few years and has
recently come back from his scouting trip in Ghana. He has also
brought in some Italian influence with James Giordani being named as
assistant manager.
Continuing with
management Clive Cornish has been named as 1st team managers Andy
Haines' assistant this season and Ladies manager Rich Haydon after
initially stepping down has decided to continue managing the team
this season!!! |

It's That Time Of Year We Love - Pre Season Training
Yes it's back, way too soon, but pre season men's training starts
this Wednesday 4th July and every Wednesday onwards. Meet at the
footie clubhouse at 6pm sharp. Bring your boots, trainers and
probably a drink. Not just for existing players, we hope to see new
players as well. We have 3 men's teams, the 1st team play in the
East Cornwall Premier League, the 2nds play in the North Devon
Senior League and our 3rd team play in the Kingsley League. We look
forward to seeing you all there !!!!! |

Annual 5 A Side Competition Coming in July
The annual adult 5 a side tournament this year is on Saturday 14th
July. £24 per team, maximum of 6 players in a squad, played on
pitches at Bude FC. If you're interested in entering a team contact

Presentation
Just for everyone to note the youth presentation will be on Sunday
10th June with a 12 midday Kick Off. The day includes Mums and Dads
football, a Coaches vs Players game, various other games, BBQ, the
bar and canteen will be open along with the presentation of trophies
and medals to the youth teams, hope you can make it !! |

Presentation Evening Awards
The Bude FC end of season presentation evening was held this year at
The Lucky Kiss. The night started with the award ceremony and up
first was Best Supporter which went to Hughie Bartlett, Most
Promising Young Player Under 21 went to the talented left footer
Craig Thomson. Supporters Player Of The Year went to Wes Pugh who
had his trophy presented to him earlier in the week. Club Person Of
The year went to long time youth secretary Tracy Wosnitzka.On to the
managers and starting with the third teams Ian Adams he announced
that Keith Feltham was Players Player and Chris Hill was named
Managers Player. Luke Francis for the seconds was next and a happy
Liam Anderson collected the Players Player award and James Findlay
won Managers Player. First team manager Andy Haines presented Tommy
Statton with the teams Players Player trophy and Wayne Cornish
received the Managers Player award. The Ladies manager Richard
Haydon was up and he gave his Most Improved Player award to both
Mandy Bickle and Rachael Badham, Players Player was won by Leanne
Stanbury and Leona Marsh won Managers Player. Pinkys Club Player
Award went this season to young Tommy Rowland for his efforts
between the sticks for the thirds, seconds and Under 18's as well as
his work with the youth teams. Last but not least barman Gary
Westlake presented a new award for Best Goal Scored at Broadclose
which went to a superb goal from third team player/manager Ian
Adams. Many other thanks were given out to canteen staff, bar staff,
sponsors, Steph Dinshaw for organising the evening and also Tony
Holgate for hosting the evening and he laid on a great spread for
everyone after the speeches and some cracking tunes played by DJ
Jellybean, an end to a cracking season. |
