Bude 2-1
Marazion
Bude's first leg lead over Marazion quickly disappeared as Carol Allen
played a great ball over the defence for Jo Barker to run onto and step
past the keeper, her shot from the by-line perfectly weighted to curve
past the post. Both Barker and Lindsey Williams went on to have further
chances to score, whilst Anita Symons won tackle after tackle in the
Bude midfield. Symons almost impossible left foot shot went just inches
over the crossbar, before later slamming in the equaliser.
Dani Salt went on a solo run past several Marazion defenders but was
unable to finish and debutee Stella Metherell caused no end of problems.
It was Symons again who made the second goal, when her well timed pass
found Leona Marsh to finish past Jane Wills, who was superb in the away
goal. The visitors came close to pulling one back with 10 minutes to go,
the shot just wide of the post but it finished 2-1 to Bude (3-1 on
aggregate). Credit to the Marazion defence, especially Sam Berryman on
her long awaited comeback, ably supported by Lisa Denley and Kirsty Olds
