Truro Res 4     Bude 2

Bude played Truro reserves away on Sunday 14th Sept.  The game began with Truro piling on the pressure and Bude defending in numbers.  Despite keeper Lisa Cornish making some vital saves it was soon 1-0 to Truro.  Neat passing from the home side was the undoing of Bude and it became 2-0 at the half hour.  This appeared to get the visitors heads up and they surged forward.  Great work from a determined Sarah Badham saw her cross for Leanne Stanbury to fire in.  With Bude still fired up after the break they levelled the score - Leanne Stanbury finding just enough space in the box to place her shot.  Unfortunately the joy did not last long as Truro regained their lead within 5 minutes.  The scoreline remained at 3-2 with both sides looking for more goals and both having chances but it was Truro who finished the match scoring a 4th with just 4 minutes to go.  Bude are disappointed that they did not play to their best standard but will come back stronger for the return fixture!
