Bude travelled to Marjons Old Suttonians on Sunday 18th Oct.  This tough away fixture began well for Bude, they fought hard but were unlucky to go a goal down after 15 minutes from a contentious corner kick.  With the midfield battle being won by Marjons the defence was put under pressure but Steph Haydon and Corrine Salt held strong and prevented further goals.  Sarah Badham almost levelled just before halftime, her shot bounding off the crossbar.  At 1-0 down Bude started the second half with added vigour and levelled almost immediately when Lizzy Jenkins and Sarah Badham showed how the 'pass & move' should be done - 4 passes ending with Sarah's goal.  However, the pace of the Marjons forwards told and they made it 2-1.   A spell of Bude pressure followed and with the welcome return of Leanne Stanbury she provided added support for Badz.  Zoe West was holding the ball up well and Badz was able to score her second to level the match.  With 25 minutes to go Bude fought to hold on, but a poor clearance in the box enabled the knock in to give Marjons Old Sutts the lead once more.  Although Bude never gave up, Debbie Duncan's pace up front outdid them again as Marjons went on the break twice in the last 10 to make it 5-2.
