Bude played St Blazey at home on 9th September and started well, creating chances and playing some nice football.  Wingers Leanne Stanbury and Leona Marsh worked well to get crosses in and it was only a matter of time before they went ahead, Lisa Cornish being well placed to knock in.  Blazey fought back and it took some resolute defending from new signings Steph Hayden and Corinne Salt to prevent the equaliser. However, Bude were looking to increase their lead and fast & slick play from Leanne Stanbury and Katie Horstmann left the visitors standing at times, the keeper doing well to make more than one great save. Captain Lizzy Jenkins eased the home pressure as
she made it 2-1 just before half time, her shot just too high for the Blazey goalkeeper.
The second half remained the same with Bude pushing for more goals and Blazey hungry to level and there were chances at both ends with Anna Wherry shooting wide and Bude keeper Sandra Gosling dominating her area. Katie Horstmann, Leanne Stanbury and Leona Marsh all had shots on goal, but it was another trademark Lizzy Jenkins goal that sealed the win as her shot from outside the area, dipped with precision just under the crossbar. The match finished 3-0 to Bude.
