Bude 8-2 St.Blazey.

A Dani Salt hat trick, braces for Leona Marsh and Anita Symons and a Lizzy Jenkins free kick gave Bude an 8-2 win over St Blazey. Most of the action was in the first half with Leona opening the scoring with a unique shot after just quarter of an hour. Dani weaved her way around the pitch and worked well with strike partner Stella Metherell, Dani scored two quick goals in succession and Anita made it 4-0 with a sweet left foot shot from 25 yards. A Lizzy Jenkins corner found Anita who knocked in to make it 5-0 at half time.
St Blazey came out for the second half with much more fire in their belly and came close to scoring several times, they were just unable to find the finish. The game remained at 5-0 for much of the second half but it was Bude who scored first with Leona meeting an Anita cross on the right and passing it into the net. St Blazey responded almost immediately when they made a break from midfield, Lauren Dowrick beating the keeper one on one. Shortly after Katie Horstmann was brought down just outside of the box and Lizzy reliably buried her trademark free kick.
With Blazey pushing forward again, the home defence was put under pressure and the visitors earned a free kick of their own. Home keeper Sandra Gosling blocked the shot but it rebounded into the path of Kim Tyler Woods who made it 7-2.
In the last 5 minutes Dani was in one on one with the keeper and made her hat trick to finish in style!
