Bude 2        Plymouth Argyle Res 2

Bude played Plymouth Argyle Res at home on Sunday 6th Sept.  A fast paced
game played in warm conditions, it started well for Bude, Katie Horstmann
earning a penalty in the first 10 minutes which captain Lizzy Jenkins calmly
converted.  The visitors responded by loading the attack and right back
Corrine Salt gave 100% to deny them time and again.  A nasty injury to
striker Katie Horstmann forced the substitution for Bude and a slight lapse
of concentration resulted in the scrambled equaliser for Argyle.  Despite
chances for both it remained 1-1 at half time.

The second half saw both sides looking for a winner, Bude's Adele Burkinshaw
dominated the midfield, never giving in and Gemma Smith was once again a
stalwart in central defence. However it was Arglye who took the lead when a
great free kick curled into the top corner.  Keeping their heads up Bude
fought on and with Bryonie Lapham pushing on the left and Sarah Badham back
in centre they looked more lively. It was a Sarah Badham run that created
the equaliser, her run up the right and susbsequent cross meeting Lizzy
Jenkins who deftly took a couple of touches before rippling the net.
