Bude hosted Launceston on Sun 30th Oct. It was the visitors who opened the scoring early on - good pressure from Gemma Sanders enabled her to turn and find the right angle.  Launceston continued in this vein and Budes Leanne Stanbury fought well to keep Sanders at bay. Bude kept focused and showed promise with Bryher Smeeth and Leona marsh linking well. Sarah Badham worked hard and hit the underside of the bar and Lizzy Jenkins free header was just over the bar!
In an even half Launceston took their chances with Jill Haines making it 2 from a goalmouth scramble.
In the second half Bude defended more than they attacked and keeper Lisa Cornish was forced to make some essential saves as Haines, Sanders and Ria Tilley dominated.  Launceston sealed a deserved win as Sanders broke through to make it 3. A frustrated Bude know that they failed to play the simple football they are capable of.
