St.Newlyn East 3   Bude 2 

Bude started well and with the wind went one nil up after 15 mins when Dan Balsdon played in Billy Hopcroft who lobbed the ball over the advancing keeper.  Newlyn East though slowly got themselves back in to the game and equalised after a free kick on the right fell in the box to Liam Dart who slotted in from close range.  Newlyn East were on top for 15 minutes but against the run of play Bude took the lead again when Tommy Statton shot from 25 yards out and the ball flew in to the top left hand corner.  Bude nearly scored again when Hopcroft was again put through on goal, beat the keeper but put his shot wide of the goal.  The second half started the same as the first with Bude in control and could have increased their lead  with Wayne Cornish and Statton both having chances.  Bude went temporarily down to 10 men when Balsdon clashed heads with a player and was forced off the field to recover.  Newlyn East took advantage and equalised when Chris Phillips, not picked up 30 yards out, smashed a shot in to the far right hand top corner.  Balsdon returned to play but Budes second half dominance started to dwindle and Bude were dealt a cruel blow 5 minutes from the end when Antony Giodarni headed in to his own goal whilst defending a corner at the near post.
