St.Blazey 2 Bude 2
Bude couldn’t have
started better going two nil up inside 5 minutes. The first was route one
football with keeper Gary Dinshaw punting long, Billy Hopcroft reacted as
the Blazey defence stood still and he lobbed the oncoming keeper. Steve
Box weaved his magic down the left cut the ball back to Hopcroft who
rifled the ball from the corner of the box in to the top far right corner
for his second. Blazey dug in, got themselves back in to the game and for
periods were on top. Bude still looked dangerous on the counter attack,
but couldn’t get that third which would have killed the game off. Blazey
pulled one back early in to the second half Frankie McEvoy scored from a
Jon Sebbar cross, and 10 minutes later they were level, McEvoy grabbing
his second with a close range header from a Will Tinsley cross. Towards
the end any team could have taken the points with Blazey coming closest as
Gary Dinshaw cleared one shot off the line in the last minute.
