St.Stephens 2
Bude made the
perfect start scoring inside the first minute, Jason Ferrett knocked
in a low free kick from the left which defender Dan Starkey got to
and knocked in from close range. St.Stephens equalised after 15
mins, Matt Prouse played in to striker Martin Matthews who swivelled
his marker inside the box to smash the ball low in to the corner of
the goal. Bude restored their lead on the half hour mark, good play
down the left saw a cross come in fast and low, and a St.Stephens
defender put the ball straight past his own keeper. Bude extended
their lead within a minute of the restart, a Gary Hodgson cross from
the right found Billy Hopcroft at the far post and from an acute
angle put his strike over the keeper in to the top far corner. Bude
continued to dominate the half and made it four after 80 mins.
Another Ferrett free kick, this time from the right, was banged in,
went through a group of players and under the diving keepers arms.
The visitors won a penalty in the final minute when Wayne Cornish
hacked down their left winger, Mark Cock slotted the spot kick away,
but it was another loss for St.Stephens who still look for their
first points of the season. |
