Bude 2 Saltash 0
Bude had a great start to
the game going one nil up in the first 5 minutes, a free kick won 30 yards
out saw winger Stevie Box curl the ball over the wall and in off the
underside of the crossbar. Although Bude looked like they could add
further goals in the early stages Saltash were a strong team and after
seeing out the early pressure they came more and more in to the game as
the minutes ticked away, and for parts of the second half were the better
side but couldn't turn their chances in to goals, they did get the ball in
to the back of net once but the goal was ruled out for offside, Bude
keeper Gary Dinshaw on a couple of occasions was also called in to action
saving a couple of one on one efforts. With an anxious ending to the game
Bude broke away and the ball found striker Jason Veale just outside the
box, he saw an opening in the defence, ran through it and struck low past
the Saltash keeper in to the bottom left corner.
