Bude took the lead after just 10 mins when a Gareth Martyn deep free kick picked out Dan Starkey who leapt to guide a header inside the post. Bude continued to control the half with some superb football, young Wesley Pugh looking impressive.  Bude doubled their lead after 35 mins, Tommy Statton heading in a Dan Balsdon cross from close range.  Bude nearly killed the game off 10 mins in to the second half when a Balsdon strike was tipped on to the far post by keeper Jack Burbury.  Roche started to push Bude back though and the fluent football of the first half from Bude disappeared.  Roches’ Nathan McGall had a goal ruled out for offside midway through the half, but their persistence paid off in the 85^th minute when Tom Julian nodded in a corner.  Some late pressure saw Bude keeper Gary Dinshaw making a point blank save and the rebound was then blocked and cleared away to safety.  Luckily though the first half performance was enough to see them take the 3 points.
