An even first half saw both sides playing different styles of football. Polperro’s was the big boot over the defence, which caused Bude a lot of problems.   It was after 10 mins when the keeper punted long and a Polperro striker collected the ball out wide, put a low cross along the six yard box, Bude defender Gareth Martyn running back tried to clear the danger but turned the ball in to his own net.  Bude played the better looking football, but were poor in front of goal, with Dan Balsdon & Jamie Hopcroft both blasting over the bar from close range, various other shots were off target.  Bude scored 10 mins in to the second half, Jason Ferrett shot from 25 yards out, the away keeper dropped the shot & Norman Foster reacted quickly to equalise.  Bude now dominated and never looked like they could lose this game with constant pressure on the Polperro defence.  Again though, the chances came but weren’t taken.  Polperro had a rare shot on goal after 75 mins and scored.   Polperros midfielder Chris Goldthorpe had the ball 30 yards out, beat two Bude defenders and he struck the ball which went in just under the cross bar.  Another frustrating game for Bude who again showed inconsistency after a good win the previous week.
