 The first half was an even affair with Bude creating various chances, but seeing nothing to trouble the visiting keeper and at the other end home keeper Gary Dinshaw didn’t have a save to make although Nanpean were looking dangerous from corners and free kicks.  It was early in the second half when the deadlock was broken, Billy Hopcroft received the ball in the box, got to the by-line and chipped over the keeper and the ball floated in the far back corner.  Bude started to dominate as Nanpean started to tire and increased their lead after 70 mins with Tommy Statton scoring a close range header. Statton finished the game off when a superb Hopcroft cross from the right picked out Statton who again finished with a simple header.
