Bude continued their good form for 2008 with their biggest win of the season.  The first half though it was Callington who were on top, they closed Bude down very quickly giving them no space to play and Bude struggled to cope or get out of second gear early on and it was the visiting team who took the lead after 20 mins when a run from midfield saw the ball played in to Sam Shepherd wh owas allowed to turn and picked his spot in the bottom left corner. Bude equalised after 40 minutes with a Tommy Statton toe poke from close range.  Some harsh words at half time maybe had the desired effect as Bude came out a different team. They took the lead within minutes of the restart with a Billy Hopcroft screamer from 25 yards and were soon 2 up  when Dan Midelton got down the left and  ball across the goal face gave Statton an easy tap in. Statton soon grabbed his hat trick with a left foot volley from just inside the box as Callington's team crumbled.  Hopcroft scored his second after 65 mins and Statton added his fourth soon after with a close range header which got cleared but the linesman confirmed it had gone over the line.  Stevie Box wrapped the game up nicely after 80 mins when he beat the keeper to a ball outside the box and ran the ball in to an empty net
