Biscovey 4 v Bude

Bude competed well
against a high flying Biscovey side, but the home side took the lead
after 30 mins when Joel Cocking cut in from the right hand side and
squared to Alex Woodcock who latched on to the pass. Bude came
close to equalising soon after when a Jason Ferrett right foot
volley was tipped over the bar from the keeper. Biscovey
doubled their lead shortly in to the second half, a corner wasn't
dealt with, and the ball fell to unmarked Woodcock who scored his
second. Bude then pulled one back, an Adam Cornish corner
picked out Dan Balsdon who's bullet header flew past players in to
the net. Bude were on top for a period but then let in another
goal, the hard working Cocking won the ball in Budes' defence, and
ran in on goal to score. Bude reduced the arrears again when a
Tommy Statton shot from outside the box was parried by the home
keeper and Balsdon reacted to score the rebound. Bude pushed
on looking for an equaliser but with 5 minutes to go gave away a
penalty when Simon Chadwick was adjudged to have fouled a Biscovey
attacker. Frankie McEvoy settled the game from the resulting
spot kick. |
